The following is a list of Civil War pension files for Montgomery County on microfilm at the Georgia Department of Archives and History. Much more personal information can usually be found in these files. In the county lists of pensioners, available at the Georgia Department of Archives and History but not on microfilm, can often be found date of death and/or information on transfers of pensions to and from other counties.

The persons below were residents of Montgomery County after the Civil War, when they applied for pensions, and not always residents during the Civil War. In some instances papers of veteran's pension are mixed in the file with his widow's pension (and vice versa). Also many soldiers served from Montgomery County during the Civil War but later they or their widows drew pensions while residents of other counties or states.
